Benito Gallo Maresca

Born on November 30, 1930 in Boscotrecase (Na), Benito Gallo Maresca lived in Bari from 1956.

Gallo Maresca expresses himself through a neo-impressionism full of chromatic passion. From Campania he brought with him the baroque taste for the full, the joyfulness of the alleys and the pensive melancholy of the Neapolitan countryside. He is a man who has gone through all artistic experiences, from the plastic figuration of Neapolitan realism to the inlay of coral on the Tyrrhenian coast, to abstract art, with an eye always willing to draw from life which the masters of youth, Brancaccio, Chiancone, imposed , Ciardo, Casciaro.
