Born in 1922 in Falcade (BL), crossroads of the roads that descend from San Pellegrino, Marmolada and Pale di San Martino, he attended the art school of Ortisei under the direction of Maestro Li Rosi.
He began his activity as a sculptor in 1945.
The Eighties marked the definitive consecration for Murer (even if for an artist, as he often said, the "definitive" final success, the completion of the work, the acme of creativity, are empty words, non-existent terms, "because every day you have to pass exams and, first of all, with yourself ").
In forty years of creative work and continuous research, the acknowledgments, for exhibitions, participations and high-level art reviews are numerous, in Italy and abroad.
He died in Padua on 11 June 1985,
