Elena Tommasi Ferroni

Elena Tommasi Ferroni was born in Pietrasanta on May 25, 1962. Raised in Rome, she obtained the classical high school diploma at the EQVisconti high school and studied history of art at the “La Sapienza” University.
During the university years she began to devote herself to the study of restoration, and in 1985 she obtained the diploma of restorer, and later worked in the field of conservation also gaining experience in the studio of Pico Cellini, a historic Roman restorer.
Since 1983 he has regularly attended the atelier of his father, Riccardo Tommasi Ferroni, and with him he began to paint, in the beginning to deepen the pictorial technique applied to restoration, and later on becoming passionate about oil painting. Under the guidance of her father she began her real activity as a painter.
In April 1995 an article about her father, her brother and her, as an art family, appeared in the magazine “Arte Mondadori”. In 1995 he also began his collaboration with the “Spirale Arte” group in Milan, with whom he would work until 1998. With Spirale he exhibited in those years in Milan, Parma, Pietrasanta, Ferrara, etc.
In 2005 she exhibited in the Barozzi gallery in Vignola, and in February of the same year she was interviewed by Gigi Marzullo in the program "Sottovoce" on Rai1.
He currently lives and works in Rome.
