Natale Addamiano

Natale Addamiano was born in Bitetto (Bari) on 12 May 1943. He moved to Milan in 1968, he enrolled at the Brera Academy with his friend Michele Zaza and attended the painting courses held by Domenico Cantatore until he graduated in 1972. The first important exhibition is organized by the Galleria L'Agrifoglio in Milan; Dino Buzzati reviewed him in the “Corriere della Sera, becoming his friend and collector. In 1976 he accepted the professorship of painting in Brera.

He is invited both to the VI Triennial of Engraving at Palazzo della Permanente in Milan and to the exhibition “Un punto per Piero” in New York. In October 2003 he went to Japan where he inaugurated five solo shows: Tokyo, Kyoto, Kobe, Osaka, Niigata. He currently lives and works in Milan.

Addamiano manages to convey strong emotions through landscapes and skies, calm or stormy, starry day or night.
